After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Karim M'hadhebi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caid Clayton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Horfield getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Mohamed Braiek hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fathi Sassi in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Caid Clayton saved Horfield from getting behind. Alaeddine Ayari sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Horfield's goalkeeper Caid Clayton, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jamel Abdelkader showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Atef Jaidi, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Abdelhamid Benachour kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jamel Abdelkader. That made the score 1-0 in the 27 minute of play. Fathi Sassi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Caid Clayton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ali Ghodhbane hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Alaeddine Ayari recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Fathi Sassi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Caid Clayton read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Alaeddine Ayari fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caid Clayton having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abdelhamid Benachour in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jamel Abdelkader prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Ashby de la Zouch United's Muhammad Sfar got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Horfield's Abdelhamid Benachour got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Atef Jaidi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jamel Abdelkader having to interfere. After 84 minutes, Mohamed Braiek mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Horfield and the Ashby de la Zouch United players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Horfield getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Mohamed Braiek hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Ashby de la Zouch United's Karim M'hadhebi tried to score from far away in the 85th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Atef Jaidi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Abdelhamid Benachour had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jamel Abdelkader made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yassine Haithem in the 93rd minute of play. Jamel Abdelkader didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Abdelhamid Benachour went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Horfield's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
