A hard shot 3 in the game by Moncef Nafti from a close distance when the talented Haythem Khaled managed to make a qualified save. Withington's players were relieved. In the 5th minute Adel Namouchi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chaouki Karoui saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 7 played minutes Withington got a freekick which was hit by Ali Meriah. Patrick Yahia was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 8th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Hamdi Beya kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Helsby's Chaouki Karoui played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmed al-Amin in the 12th minute of play. Adel Namouchi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Moncef Nafti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ahmed al-Amin came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Withington fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ahmed al-Amin couldn't finish the play. Withington's defense didn't have a chance, in the 26th minute, when Moncef Nafti scored to the left of an out of position Haythem Khaled, making the score, 1-0. When Withington's Adel Namouchi in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Helsby's goalie prevented a goal. After 31 minutes, Abdelhamid Saidi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Withington and the Helsby players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 31st minute, Abdelhamid Saidi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 36 minutes into the match, Helsby's goal looked a bit too open when Adel Namouchi came free, but Chaouki Karoui reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Hamdi Beya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Moncef Nafti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haythem Khaled having to interfere. Chaouki Karoui made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmed al-Amin in the 47th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adel Namouchi to strike the kick off in the second half. Ahmed al-Amin's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Chaouki Karoui firmly grabbed it by the left post. Moncef Nafti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haythem Khaled having to interfere. Moncef Nafti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Adel Namouchi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chaouki Karoui having to interfere. 70 minutes into the match, Withington's Ahmed al-Amin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Chaouki Karoui narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Withington's Adel Namouchi in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Helsby's Moncef Nafti got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Adel Namouchi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chaouki Karoui having to interfere. Ahmed al-Amin's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 81stth minute, Chaouki Karoui skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 84 minutes into the match, Helsby's goalkeeper Chaouki Karoui had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ahmed al-Amin. After a defensive mix-up in Helsby's zone, Adel Namouchi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chaouki Karoui came out of the goal and Adel Namouchi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 94 minutes into the match, Helsby's goalkeeper Chaouki Karoui had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ahmed al-Amin. After having played for 96 minutes, Ahmed al-Amin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Withington's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ahmed al-Amin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Helsby had won after a very even match.
