In the 31stth minute of the game Zaccheo Andolina who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arrebimba o Malho SLB's Man Fish was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 33 minutes into the game, Vladimir Vrabie threw the ball into play from the sideline. Italy's Siricio Liotta quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 36 minutes into the match, Italy's Zaccheo Andolina sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Man Fish narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After the first half Italy were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hao Fan Yong was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Zaccheo Andolina managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Italy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zaccheo Andolina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
