COT's Jaouhar Ghannem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mohamed Mokthar in the 3rd minute of play. Kaies Marzouki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Jaouhar Ghannem tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Dunton Bassett getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Habib Kaâbi hit a great ball. Håkan Nordgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kameleddine Jaballah, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. After a rather tough play, COT's Riadh El Naili got a free kick in the 14th minute. Mohamed Mokthar was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 14th minute. Dunton Bassett's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mohamed Mokthar in the 17th minute of play forced COT's goalkeeper Jaouhar Ghannem to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Kaies Marzouki had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jaouhar Ghannem. COT's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kaies Marzouki was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. With a little luck, COT's Jaouhar Ghannem got control of the ball when Kaies Marzouki tried to sneak it across the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, COT's goal looked a bit too open when Mohamed Mokthar came free, but Jaouhar Ghannem reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jaouhar Ghannem made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kaies Marzouki in the 27th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Kaies Marzouki managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dunton Bassett's supporters rose to their feet, but Kaies Marzouki was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jaouhar Ghannem breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jaouhar Ghannem stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mohamed Mokthar's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. In the 44th minute Diego Lattanzio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Håkan Nordgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Habib Kaâbi was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 46 minutes into the match. In the 47th minute, Habib Kaâbi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Riadh El Naili was the one to do the kick off. Diego Lattanzio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Håkan Nordgren made a huge save. After a rather tough play, COT's Sami Abdallah got a free kick in the 54th minute. Håkan Nordgren was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Riadh El Naili showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 60 minute of play. Abdelkarim Jomaa kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. The supporters of COT booed when Dunton Bassett was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Férid Ben Nacef didn't get a good kick on the ball. COT's Diego Lattanzio got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kaies Marzouki's late challenge caught a COT's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kaies Marzouki helped the player get up and apologised. COT's Jaouhar Ghannem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaies Marzouki in the 80th minute of play. Sami Abdallah kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Jaouhar Ghannem showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kaies Marzouki in the 84th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as COT's Riadh El Naili slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Håkan Nordgren. That made the score 3-2 after 93 minutes of play. Many of COT's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. COT may have spent more time on the ball, but Dunton Bassett were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
