After a rather tough play, Hay Riadh United's Riadh Zahani got a free kick in the 41st minute. Muhammad Bejaoui might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lotfi Ghodhbane. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lotfi Ghodhbane made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sílvio Veiga in the 45th minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Hay Riadh United's goal looked a bit too open when Tomás San Juan came free, but Lotfi Ghodhbane reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-8 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sílvio Veiga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Hay Riadh United's goalkeeper Lotfi Ghodhbane had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tacettin Umay. Lotfi Ghodhbane was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tacettin Umay got free with Lotfi Ghodhbane in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tacettin Umay let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 84th minute shot 0-15 at rihgt post. 88 minutes in the game, Tacettin Umay dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal.
