An unexpectedly hard shot by Mirnes Šehić in the 9th minute of play forced Hay Riadh United's goalkeeper Lotfi Ghodhbane to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lotfi Ghodhbane came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Foda's Andrés D'Alessandro. But to his dismay, Andrés D'Alessandro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anselmo Schiavoni in the 14th minute of play forced Hay Riadh United's goalkeeper Lotfi Ghodhbane to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anselmo Schiavoni struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Lotfi Ghodhbane didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Foda. 18 minutes into the match, Hay Riadh United's goal looked a bit too open when Mirnes Šehić came free, but Lotfi Ghodhbane reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Muhammad Azzaro in the 23rd minute of play forced Foda's goalkeeper CJ Craddock to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Hay Riadh United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lotfi Ghodhbane should have stopped the shot. After 42 played minutes Foda got a freekick which was hit by Mohamed Bensedrine. Hay Riadh United's Lotfi Ghodhbane played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mirnes Šehić in the 46th minute of play. After 47 minutes of play, Foda's Mirnes Šehić made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lotfi Ghodhbane was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Muhammad Azzaro to make the kick off. In the 55th minute, Mohamed Bensedrine got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mirnes Šehić scored 0-6 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lotfi Ghodhbane, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hay Riadh United's Lotfi Ghodhbane proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Hay Riadh United from getting a goal against them. Hay Riadh United's Lotfi Ghodhbane played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrés D'Alessandro in the 73rd minute of play. When the match clock showed 76 minutes, the score became 0-8 when Mirnes Šehić sped through Hay Riadh United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lotfi Ghodhbane. With a little luck, Hay Riadh United's Lotfi Ghodhbane got control of the ball when Mirnes Šehić tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Hay Riadh United's Riadh Zahani got a free kick in the 85th minute. Mehdi Chimane recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 88 minutes into the match, Mirnes Šehić had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lotfi Ghodhbane. Hay Riadh United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mirnes Šehić was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-9. Lotfi Ghodhbane was a little too slow when Mirnes Šehić got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 92nd minute. The score was now 0-10. In the 97th minute, Mirnes Šehić reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Lotfi Ghodhbane. The goal made the score 0-11.
