Through an outstanding action, after 15 minutes, CJ Craddock successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Foda's attentive Habib Zahaf managed to snatch the ball when Gwidon Misiewicz made a throw-in in the 18th minute of the game. A collision led to Foda getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Habib Zahaf hit a great ball. In the 19th minute, Kaies Marzouki reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of CJ Craddock. The goal made the score 1-0. 25 minutes into the match, Foda's goal looked a bit too open when Mohamed Adhoum came free, but CJ Craddock reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Dunton Bassett's goal looked a bit too open when Mirnes Šehić came free, but Håkan Nordgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Håkan Nordgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mirnes Šehić, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Kaies Marzouki took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised CJ Craddock. CJ Craddock dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Håkan Nordgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrés D'Alessandro in the 47th minute of play.

Anselmo Schiavoni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Håkan Nordgren having to interfere. Mohamed Adhoum received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. CJ Craddock tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. CJ Craddock took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kaies Marzouki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 60 minutes, Mohamed Mokthar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dunton Bassett's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mohamed Mokthar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Foda booed when Dunton Bassett was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dorian Pinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mehdi Chimane placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Kaies Marzouki shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Håkan Nordgren came out of the goal and Andrés D'Alessandro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
