Spectators: 9980 (Terracing: 8000, Seating: 1900, VIP seats: 80) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Kaies Marzouki started the match with the kick off. When Abdelkarim Jomaa fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dunton Bassett's protests and gave Abdelkarim Jomaa a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of COT booed when Dunton Bassett was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdelkarim Jomaa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Håkan Nordgren came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by COT's Diego Lattanzio. But to his dismay, Diego Lattanzio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mohamed Adhoum in the 9th minute of play forced COT's goalkeeper Jaouhar Ghannem to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adel Ladgham kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Issam El Hadj Kacem, 16 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mohamed Mokthar during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Mohamed Mokthar kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kaies Marzouki in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jaouhar Ghannem saved COT from getting behind. Sabri Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Issam El Hadj Kacem took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jaouhar Ghannem. COT's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Kaies Marzouki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Håkan Nordgren was a little too slow when Christian Corelli got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 29th minute. The score was now 2-1. Dunton Bassett were furious when Issam El Hadj Kacem was red carded, 33 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 38th match minute, COT was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Riadh El Naili to maneuver through the defense. In the 39th minute, Anouar Makni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Christian Corelli might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Håkan Nordgren. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Christian Corelli ran back to his position shaking his head. COT's Jaouhar Ghannem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mohamed Mokthar in the 44th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Riadh El Naili stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mohamed Mokthars short, quick shot in the 51stth minute got Jaouhar Ghannem to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Håkan Nordgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Riadh El Naili, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Kaies Marzouki blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jaouhar Ghannem having to make a save. After having played for 63 minutes, Mohamed Mokthar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dunton Bassett's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mohamed Mokthar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jaouhar Ghannem made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaies Marzouki in the 67th minute of play. In the 68th minute, Abdelkarim Jomaa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Riadh El Naili was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 71 minutes had been played. In the 71st match minute, COT was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Riadh El Naili to maneuver through the defense. In the 72nd minute, COT's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Kaies Marzouki fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Håkan Nordgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diego Lattanzio, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. After 86 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for COT! The supporters of Dunton Bassett booed when COT was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego Lattanzio didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kaies Marzouki got free with Jaouhar Ghannem in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Dunton Bassett getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Anouar Makni hit a great ball.
