Seating: 1775, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Greg McLerie made the kick off which started today's match. Guy McFie was extremely unlucky when he, in the 4th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 7 minutes into the match, Helensburgh's goal looked a bit too open when Wal Lauchlan came free, but Jamie Scott reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, Helensburgh's goal looked a bit too open when Greg McLerie came free, but Jamie Scott reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 11 minutes of play, Black Ravens FC's Wal Lauchlan made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jamie Scott was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hamish Sim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guy McFie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the match, Black Ravens FC's goal looked a bit too open when Guy McFie came free, but Hamish Sim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Helensburgh's Ryan Clement was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Hamish Sim in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Guy McFie in the 22ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Hamish Sim, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Greg McLerie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Helensburgh's Jamie Scott played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wal Lauchlan in the 28th minute of play. Terence Tolmie kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. After 34 played minutes Black Ravens FC got a freekick which was hit by Connor Burdon. In the game's 35th minute Helensburgh's Ivan Ellis took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Hamish Sim and thus the score was 1-1. Black Ravens FC's Hamish Sim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guy McFie in the 43rd minute of play. A collision led to Helensburgh getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Alan Day hit a great ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Guy McFie made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Ryan Clement hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Grant Gregorson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 58 minutes into the match, Helensburgh's Grant Gregorson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hamish Sim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sid McCarter's late challenge caught a Helensburgh's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sid McCarter helped the player get up and apologised. Sid McCarter kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Grant Gregorson in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hamish Sim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hamish Sim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Grant Gregorson in the 72nd minute of the match. Jamie Scott showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Greg McLerie, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Wal Lauchlan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Jamie Scott made a huge save. Helensburgh's Grant Gregorson managed to work through Black Ravens FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Grant Gregorson dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Hamish Sim came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Helensburgh's Guy McFie. But to his dismay, Guy McFie quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. The supporters of Black Ravens FC booed when Helensburgh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan Ellis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Black Ravens FC's Lucas McMath tried to score from far away in the 92nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Jamie Scott acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 96th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Sid McConachie. For all the effort they put into the match, the Black Ravens FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Helensburgh.
