With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hamish Sim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Greg McLerie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Conor McGugan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wal Lauchlan in the 15th minute of play forced Wishaw AFC's goalkeeper Conor McGugan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ronnie McIlzegowie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Wishaw AFC booed when Black Ravens FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sid McCarter didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mike McDuffie during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Hamish Sim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamin Bain in the 42nd minute of the match. Benjamin Bain blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hamish Sim having to make a save. After 44 minutes, Rupert Henderson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Black Ravens FC and the Wishaw AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Wishaw AFC booed when Black Ravens FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rupert Henderson didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Wal Lauchlan made the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes of play, Black Ravens FC's Wal Lauchlan made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Conor McGugan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Wal Lauchlan struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Conor McGugan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Black Ravens FC. Wishaw AFC's Conor McGugan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Wishaw AFC from getting a goal against them. In the 64th minute, Ronnie McIlzegowie ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hamish Sim was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Ronnie McIlzegowie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Hamish Sim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benjamin Bain in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hamish Sim saved Black Ravens FC from getting behind. In the 70th minute Benjamin Bain shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hamish Sim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Black Ravens FC's Hamish Sim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronnie McIlzegowie in the 80th minute of play. In the 81st minute, Greg McLerie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benjamin Bain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 85 played minutes Black Ravens FC got a freekick which was hit by Greg McLerie. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by George Boyle during the 89th minute. Ronnie McIlzegowie took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hamish Sim. Hamish Sim dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Wishaw AFC had played much better football throughout.
