A collision led to Annan AFC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Lucas Cameron hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Euan McMurray during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 7th match minute, Annan AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Euan McMurray to maneuver through the defense. When Benjamin Bain fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wishaw AFC's protests and gave Benjamin Bain a yellow card for diving instead. Peter McCorry recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Peter McCorry received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Conor McGugan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Lee McDonleavy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Annan AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lee McDonleavy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Conor McGugan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Euan McMurray was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 19 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Annan AFC's Euan McMurray got a free kick in the 20th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Alistair King managed to get in a good position for a shot. Annan AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alistair King was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Conor McGugan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Peter McCorry recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 35 minutes of play, Annan AFC's Peter McCorry made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Conor McGugan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Benjamin Bain struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Luke Davis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wishaw AFC. 42 minutes into the match, Annan AFC's goalkeeper Luke Davis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ronnie McIlzegowie. Lee McDonleavy kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Ronnie McIlzegowie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Annan AFC's Alistair King got a free kick in the 45th minute. Benjamin Bain spun around in front of the goal 46 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Annan AFC's goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Peter McCorry made the kick off in the second half. Quentin Cessford hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Wishaw AFC's Conor McGugan got control of the ball when Peter McCorry tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin Bain in the 70th minute of play forced Annan AFC's goalkeeper Luke Davis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peter McCorry fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Conor McGugan having to interfere. Mike McDuffie's late challenge caught a Annan AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mike McDuffie helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Wishaw AFC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Mike McDuffie hit a great ball. Ronnie McIlzegowie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luke Davis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronnie McIlzegowie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 89th minute, Ronnie McIlzegowie made a precise shot to the right of Luke Davis. Annan AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. If Benjamin Bain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 95 minutes into the match, Annan AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamin Bain came free, but Luke Davis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
