Seating: 1787, VIP seats: 0) Alex Dinwoodie started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. An unexpectedly hard shot by Timothy McLewis in the 6th minute of play forced Golspie's goalkeeper Ronald Forsyth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Livingston's Derek Wallis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Dinwoodie in the 8th minute of play. If Daniel McLure had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Derek Wallis made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Ron Ure sent off a good shot on target. In the 14th match minute, Golspie was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ron Ure to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 18 minutes, Timothy McLewis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Livingston's supporters crossed their fingers, but Timothy McLewis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ronald Forsyth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Timothy McLewis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alex Dinwoodie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Derek Wallis having to interfere. Livingston's defense didn't have a chance, in the 25th minute, when Alex Dinwoodie scored to the left of an out of position Derek Wallis, making the score, 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alex Dinwoodie in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Derek Wallis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ryan Coultard's late challenge caught a Golspie's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ryan Coultard helped the player get up and apologised. After 32 played minutes Livingston got a freekick which was hit by Ryan Coultard. After a defensive mix-up in Livingston's zone, Ron Ure stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Derek Wallis came out of the goal and Ron Ure tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Through an outstanding action, after 39 minutes, Derek Wallis successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 43 minutes into the match, Golspie's Ron Ure sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Derek Wallis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alex Dinwoodie blasted a shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Derek Wallis having to make a save.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Timothy McLewis to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Benjamin McGillivray hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 56th minute, Frankie McLulich hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Golspie's Ter Foster got a free kick in the 71st minute. Joshua McKinley succeeded in the game's 72nd minute to get real power on a long shot . Golspie's Ronald Forsyth hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 1-1! If Alex Dinwoodie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Ter Foster had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Livingston's zone, Ron Ure stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Derek Wallis came out of the goal and Ron Ure tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ter Foster during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 95th match minute, Golspie was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ter Foster to maneuver through the defense. Livingston's Daniel McLure got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
