The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Willie McKiggan to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Danny Johnston managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Banff's supporters crossed their fingers, but Danny Johnston was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 63rd match minute, Dunoon City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Connor McNider to maneuver through the defense. Banff's Liam Laidlaw played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexander Alexander in the 70th minute of play. Banff's Danny Johnston got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rod Williamson was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 77th minute. Banff's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 78th minute Danny Johnston shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eric McGrath saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 80 minutes into the match, Banff's Rod Williamson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eric McGrath narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
