After having played for 10 minutes, Oliver McCorkill managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dunblane's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oliver McCorkill was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Oliver McCorkill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Canonbie getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Aidan Agnew hit a great ball. Dunblane's attack was well implemented in the 21st minute, but when Oliver McCorkill was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. If Bob McCombie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mike Meikleham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Les McWalrick in the 29th minute of the match. Les McWalrick fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mike Meikleham having to interfere. Mike Meikleham made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bob McCombie in the 36th minute. If Matt Stringer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Les McWalrick received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Mike Meikleham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Oliver McCorkill to strike the kick off in the second half. Oliver McCorkill received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Wal Fair tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Bob McCombie managed to get in a good position for a shot. Canonbie's supporters rose to their feet, but Bob McCombie was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mike Meikleham breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Oliver McCorkill struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Wal Fair didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dunblane. After a rather tough play, Dunblane's Jordan Hughes got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Dunblane's Mike Meikleham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bob McCombie in the 84th minute of play. With a little luck, Canonbie's Wal Fair got control of the ball when Matt Stringer tried to sneak it across the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Canonbie's Les McWalrick sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mike Meikleham narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Canonbie fans' excitement grew in the 90th match minute when Canonbie's Bob McCombie looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 93rd minute, Lucas McCuag hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wal Fair made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oliver McCorkill in the 95th minute of play.
