Spectators: 6783 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1783, VIP seats: 0) Mike Meikleham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rory McRuer, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Oliver McCorkill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gary McLeverty having to interfere. 9 minutes into the match, Lybster's goal looked a bit too open when Oliver McCorkill came free, but Gary McLeverty reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oliver McCorkill recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 17th minute Arthur Carstarphen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mike Meikleham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute, Rory McRuer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lybster fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Lybster's Gary McLeverty proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Lybster from getting a goal against them. Lybster's Rory McRuer got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 39th match minute, Dunblane was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Conor McGillivray to maneuver through the defense. Mike Meikleham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dean McIan in the 43rd minute of the match. The supporters of Dunblane booed when Lybster was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dean McIan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arthur Carstarphen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mike Meikleham having to interfere. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Oliver McCorkill made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Lybster's Keith Simon got a free kick in the 56th minute. When Oliver McCorkill came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Dunblane fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oliver McCorkill couldn't finish the play. After 59 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Lybster! 63 minutes into the match, Lybster's goal looked a bit too open when Oliver McCorkill came free, but Gary McLeverty reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Keith Simon hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Arthur Carstarphens short, quick shot in the 69thth minute got Mike Meikleham to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Matt Stringer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. It was a well-played corner which Arthur Carstarphen managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Gary McLeverty took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matt Stringer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oliver McCorkill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gary McLeverty having to interfere. Matt Stringer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 99th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
