After 6 played minutes, Nasty Dreams FC's Kieran Reilly shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Joseph McQuistan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Nasty Dreams FC reached it. Shane France received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Joseph McQuistan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ian Doig showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nathan Russell in the 9th minute of the match. Max McKnight hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Nathan Russell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Ian Doig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Nasty Dreams FC's zone, Nathan Russell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ian Doig came out of the goal and Nathan Russell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shane France in the 22nd minute of play forced Ballater's goalkeeper Joseph McQuistan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Jason McGilvray had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29thth minute of the game Shane France who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ballater's Joseph McQuistan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ballater's Joseph McQuistan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shane France in the 30th minute of play. Nathan Russell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jimmy McGorrie hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Nasty Dreams FC's Edward McHendrie got a free kick in the 45th minute. After 47 minutes Nasty Dreams FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Evan McConnach who took care of the corner kick. A hard and well directed shot from Evan McConnach led 48 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Nasty Dreams FC's Ian Doig became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Ballater's Joseph McQuistan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Ballater from getting a goal against them. If George Buckley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Shane France in the 62ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Joseph McQuistan, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If George Buckley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Ian Doig was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Max McKnight hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Nasty Dreams FC's Ian Doig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nathan Russell in the 91st minute of play. Nathan Russell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Nasty Dreams FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Ballater from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
