A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Rogart's Calum Lambie got a free kick in the 4th minute. After having played for 6 minutes, Jeremy McIlreach managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Haddington's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeremy McIlreach was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Rogart's Harold McAslan got control of the ball when Stephen McEachran tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 10th minute, Haddington's Matthew McRobbie dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Rogart's zone, Stephen McEachran stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Harold McAslan came out of the goal and Stephen McEachran tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 17 minutes into the match, Stephen McEachran notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Rogart's Harold McAslan. Harold McAslan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 19th minute, Stephen McEachran got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Stephen McEachran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Harold McAslan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Jeremy McIlreach came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Haddington fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeremy McIlreach couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Matthew McRobbie got free with Harold McAslan in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 32 minutes into the match, Rogart's goal looked a bit too open when Jeremy McIlreach came free, but Harold McAslan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Jeremy McIlreach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeremy McIlreach's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Harold McAslan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Stephen McEachran could shoot a difficult shot in the 45th minute, which Harold McAslan however easily saved by the left post. Gregor Neil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Harold McAslan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jeremy McIlreach made a kick off. After having played for 54 minutes, Jeremy McIlreach managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Haddington's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeremy McIlreach was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Rogart defense, Jeremy McIlreach kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Harold McAslan. The Rogart fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Harold McAslan should have stopped the shot. 62 minutes into the match, Rogart's goal looked a bit too open when Stephen McEachran came free, but Harold McAslan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 65 minutes into the game, Jeremy McIlreach cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Harold McAslan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 71st match minute, Rogart was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eric Sinclair to maneuver through the defense. Jeremy McIlreach recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 73 minutes into the match, Haddington's Stephen McEachran sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Harold McAslan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Harold McAslan came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Haddington's Jeremy McIlreach. But to his dismay, Jeremy McIlreach quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Harold McAslan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matthew McRobbie, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Stephen McEachran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Harold McAslan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Harold McAslan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gregor Neil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 86 minutes into the match, Stephen McEachran notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Rogart's Harold McAslan. Harold McAslan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 90 minutes of play, Haddington's Jeremy McIlreach made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Harold McAslan was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Stephen McEachran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Haddington had played much better football throughout.
