Spectators: 7736 (Terracing: 5803, Seating: 1779, VIP seats: 154) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Robbie McPhedron kicked off to start the match. In the 16thth minute of the game Lewis McDuffie who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kirkliston City's Davie Gow was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kirkliston City were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after MacKenea City FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. James McDonnell took the corner. Robbie McPhedron received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Kenny McKenzie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th match minute, MacKenea City FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciaran Connall to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Keith Hill in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kenny McKenzie saved MacKenea City FC from getting behind. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind MacKenea City FC's goalkeeper Kenny McKenzie, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 41 minutes, Malcolm Lemond mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MacKenea City FC and the Kirkliston City players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Keith Hill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 48 minutes, Robbie McPhedron made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. MacKenea City FC's Kenny McKenzie tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Kenny McKenzie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robbie McPhedron in the 62nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, MacKenea City FC's Harry McVicar got a free kick in the 63rd minute. 64 minutes into the game, Kirkliston City's Robbie McPhedron nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kenny McKenzie made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Kenny McKenzie didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 71st minute, which inside left pole to 0-3. A long shot from James McDonnell in the 79th minute of play was well struck, but Kenny McKenzie made a really good save at the right post. In the 81st minute, Robbie McPhedron left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kirkliston City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. 84 minutes into the match, MacKenea City FC's Marc Garvie sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Davie Gow narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Keith Hill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Robbie McPhedron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marc Garvie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Davie Gow having to interfere. Kirkliston City's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
