Calum McKinley scored 1-0 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kenny McKenzie, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Harry McVicar kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Kenny McKenzie didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 10th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind MacKenea City FC's goalkeeper Kenny McKenzie, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Dunkeld AFC's Max Georgeson in the 16th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Kenny McKenzie was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for MacKenea City FC through an amazing save. Ciaran Connall hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Max Georgeson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Kenny McKenzie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Max Georgeson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dunkeld AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Max Georgeson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kenny McKenzie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 28th minute, Dunkeld AFC's Max Georgeson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. Henry Lang stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lewis McDuffie's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. After a defensive mix-up in MacKenea City FC's zone, Drew McQuartie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kenny McKenzie came out of the goal and Drew McQuartie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Calum McKinley managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dunkeld AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Calum McKinley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kenny McKenzie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Max Georgeson struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Kenny McKenzie didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dunkeld AFC. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Max Georgeson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. MacKenea City FC's Kenny McKenzie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Calum McKinley in the 52nd minute of play. In the 55th minute, Calum McKinley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 58 minutes into the match, MacKenea City FC's Marc Garvie sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Henry Lang narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 60thth minute of the game Max Georgeson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MacKenea City FC's Kenny McKenzie was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Max Georgeson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute Calum McKinley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kenny McKenzie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 68th minute, Calum McKinley ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kenny McKenzie was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. The supporters of MacKenea City FC booed when Dunkeld AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stevie Jones didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 73rd minute Calum McKinley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kenny McKenzie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Malcolm Lemond hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. 75 minutes into the match, MacKenea City FC's goal looked a bit too open when Calum McKinley came free, but Kenny McKenzie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Henry Lang showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lewis McDuffie, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 88th minute of the game. One of Dunkeld AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of MacKenea City FC:s goal. Dunkeld AFC:s Henry Lang showed great skill when he stopped Ciaran Connall:s penalty. 90 minutes into the game, Ciaran Connall cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Henry Lang was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When MacKenea City FC's Lewis McDuffie in 96 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Henry Lang guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Dunkeld AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while MacKenea City FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
