In the 17th minute, Lewis McHugh left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Castlebay FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. John McIntyre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lewis McHugh in the 22nd minute of the match. Declan McAskill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tam McFall having to interfere. After 28 minutes, Joe Baldwin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Scarinish and the Castlebay FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 29th minute there was a penalty for Castlebay FC. Oliver Robson stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving John McIntyre. 0-2. With 34 minutes on the clock, Marcus Hewitson commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Scarinish fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 34th minute. Penalty! The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Declan McAskill stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Declan McAskill blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tam McFall having to make a save. If Lewis McHugh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 65 minutes into the match, Castlebay FC's goal looked a bit too open when Declan McAskill came free, but Tam McFall reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 66 minutes in the game, Lewis McHugh fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without John McIntyre having to interfere. Declan McAskill struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Tam McFall didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Scarinish. After some careless play in the Castlebay FC defense, Declan McAskill kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tam McFall. The Castlebay FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tam McFall should have stopped the shot. Lewis McHugh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Scarinish booed when Castlebay FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Steven Appleton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Declan McAskill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 86 played minutes Scarinish got a freekick which was hit by Gareth McKessock. In the 90th minute, Evan McAree got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 94 minutes into the match, Evan McAree notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Scarinish's John McIntyre. John McIntyre was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
