Jacob Gilbertson hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Goal Keepers Academy's zone, Steve McKessock stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benjamin Hamilton came out of the goal and Steve McKessock tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 13th minute Jake McMonies shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Suttie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Steve McKessock scored 0-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benjamin Hamilton, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Currie FC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Edmond McMillan hit a great ball. 18 minutes in the game, Jake McMonies dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Goal Keepers Academy's zone, Richard Foristar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benjamin Hamilton came out of the goal and Richard Foristar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Benjamin Hamilton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Steve McKessock, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anthony McCanish sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Benjamin Hamilton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steve McKessock in the 36th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richard Foristar in the 38th minute of play forced Goal Keepers Academy's goalkeeper Benjamin Hamilton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 39 minutes, Steve McKessock managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Currie FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Steve McKessock was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 40th minute, Lloyd Lang hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 41st minute of the match Eddie Mennie shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benjamin Hamilton showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Benjamin Hamilton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Steve McKessock, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Richard Foristar might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benjamin Hamilton. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Richard Foristar ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Goal Keepers Academy's Josh McSween got a free kick in the 48th minute. In the 49th minute of the match Eddie Mennie sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benjamin Hamilton skillfully saved the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 78 played minutes Currie FC got a freekick which was hit by Andy McLaverty. In the 84th minute, Steve McKessock reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Benjamin Hamilton. The goal made the score 1-2. Benjamin Hamilton came out of the goal and Steve McKessock tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 90th minute, Goal Keepers Academy's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Richard Foristar fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Currie FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
