After 6 minutes, Lewis McLeish mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Goal Keepers Academy and the Castlebay FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 6th match minute, Goal Keepers Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lewis McLeish to maneuver through the defense. In the 9th minute, Castlebay FC's Lewis McHugh dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Benjamin Hamilton made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Evan McAree sent off a good shot on target. Benjamin Hamilton was out of position in the 16 minute of play, and Lewis McHugh capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lewis McHugh really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Benjamin Hamilton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lewis McHugh, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Benjamin Hamilton made an important save on a dangerous shot by Evan McAree in the 23rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anthony McCanish in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tam McFall prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Anthony McCanish sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lewis McLeish received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Tam McFall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Goal Keepers Academy booed when Castlebay FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Steven Appleton didn't get a good kick on the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Castlebay FC's goal looked a bit too open when Anthony McCanish came free, but Tam McFall reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benjamin Hamilton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lewis McHugh in the 40th minute of play. After 41 played minutes Goal Keepers Academy got a freekick which was hit by Arthur McCombich. 43 minutes into the game, Evan McAree cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Benjamin Hamilton was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lewis McHugh was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 49th minute. Castlebay FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jake McMonies was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Castlebay FC booed when Goal Keepers Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sean Simson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benjamin Hamilton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oliver Robson in the 55th minute of play. Jake McMonies fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tam McFall having to interfere. When the match clock showed 62 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Lewis McHugh sped through Goal Keepers Academy's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benjamin Hamilton. Benjamin Hamilton stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stephen Will's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. A collision led to Goal Keepers Academy getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Josh McSween hit a great ball. Tam McFall stood somewhat misplaced when Jake McMonies came free in front of goal and shot 4-1 to the left of him in the 81 minute. Anthony McCanishs short, quick shot in the 86thth minute got Tam McFall to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the match had gone on for 92 minutes, Lewis McHugh put it in 5-1 from a short distance just to the right of Benjamin Hamilton. In the 99th minute, Jake McMonies made a precise shot to the right of Tam McFall. Castlebay FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-2. There was no doubt that Castlebay FC were the better team. Castlebay FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
