The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Richard Foristar got free with John McIntyre in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Declan McAskill, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 9 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The George Suttie was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Declan McAskill took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised George Suttie. George Suttie dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Richard Foristar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Declan McAskill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without George Suttie having to interfere. If Steve McKessock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Scarinish fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 33rd minute. Penalty! In the 38th match minute, Currie FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacob Gilbertson to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Scarinish booed when Currie FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wally McNeilage didn't get a good kick on the ball. Declan McAskill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without George Suttie having to interfere. Steve McKessock received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. John McIntyre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Tom Train recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Declan McAskill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. John McIntyre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Steve McKessock, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Steve McKessock managed to get in a good position for a shot. Currie FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Steve McKessock was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. John McIntyre breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Declan McAskill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Richard Foristar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. John McIntyre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 77 minutes into the match, Scarinish's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Foristar came free, but John McIntyre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. George Suttie made an important save on a dangerous shot by Declan McAskill in the 79th minute. If Declan McAskill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 81 played minutes Currie FC got a freekick which was hit by Edmond McMillan. Gareth McKessock's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 84thth minute, George Suttie skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. John McIntyre stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Steve McKessock's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. When Richard Foristar came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Currie FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Richard Foristar couldn't finish the play. If Steve McKessock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Richard Foristar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Scarinish's John McIntyre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Steve McKessock in the 96th minute of play. The Scarinish players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
