Spectators: 6792 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1792, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Barry Stenhouse took the kick off in the first half of the match. Barry Stenhouse recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Barry Scott took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barry Stenhouse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Tim McInally had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Leverburgh FC booed when Stonehaven was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Duncan Hawson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute, Stewart McKinnell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kieran Hastings kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Stewart McKinnell left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Leverburgh FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Barry Scott came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Stonehaven's Barry Stenhouse. But to his dismay, Barry Stenhouse quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Leverburgh FC's Barry Scott played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barry Stenhouse in the 38th minute of play. Phil Gallie could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Barry Scott made a huge save. When Stewart McKinnell came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Leverburgh FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stewart McKinnell couldn't finish the play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Stewart McKinnell made the kick off in the second half. Stewart McKinnell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Leverburgh FC's Stewart McKinnell got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kieran Hastings scored 2-1 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Barry Scott, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ter Goudie during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Leverburgh FC booed when Stonehaven was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ter Goudie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wal McKean sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leverburgh FC's Stewart McKinnell got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Stonehaven's George McTear proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Stonehaven from getting a goal against them. Phil Gallie struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Barry Scott didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stonehaven. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Leverburgh FC's goalkeeper Barry Scott, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Barry Stenhouse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Barry Scott tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 94th minute Ter Goudie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barry Scott saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Leverburgh FC's zone, Ter Goudie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Barry Scott came out of the goal and Ter Goudie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wal McKean recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Stonehaven's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
