Spectators: 6788 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1788, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Wally McKeggie kicked off to start the match. After a defensive mix-up in Cockburnspath AFC's zone, Wally McKeggie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brian Laidlaw came out of the goal and Wally McKeggie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Campbeltown FC's Connor Beadle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fergus Gorrie in the 9th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Campbeltown FC's zone, Fergus Gorrie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Connor Beadle came out of the goal and Fergus Gorrie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 16th minute Fergus Gorrie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Connor Beadle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cockburnspath AFC's Brian Laidlaw played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wally McKeggie in the 18th minute of play. After 27 played minutes Cockburnspath AFC got a freekick which was hit by Nicky Lennie. Stephen Wright was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 28th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 30 minutes into the game, Fergus Gorrie was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cockburnspath AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Campbeltown FC the free kick. Wally McKeggie's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Brian Laidlaw read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. After 32 played minutes Campbeltown FC got a freekick which was hit by Stephen Wright. Connor Beadle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fergus Gorrie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Donald Stalker recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 38th minute, Shaun Burnett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donald Stalker in the 44th minute of play forced Campbeltown FC's goalkeeper Connor Beadle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fergus Gorrie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Connor Beadle having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Donald Stalker stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Wally McKeggie had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Brian Laidlaw. Cockburnspath AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wally McKeggie was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Campbeltown FC's Connor Beadle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donald Stalker in the 59th minute of play. Cockburnspath AFC's Brian Laidlaw played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Taylor McSween in the 62nd minute of play. If Donald Stalker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Connor Beadle was a little too slow when Fergus Gorrie got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 73rd minute. The score was now 1-1. Connor Beadle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donald Stalker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80th minute Taylor McSween shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brian Laidlaw saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Donald Stalker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Connor Beadle having to interfere. In the last second Connor Beadle throw himself and got hold of the ball when Donald Stalker in the 88thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 90th minute Cockburnspath AFC were awarded a corner. Johnny McLardy went to the cornerflag to take it. Donald Stalker struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Connor Beadle didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cockburnspath AFC. The Campbeltown FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Cockburnspath AFC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
