After some careless play in the Cockburnspath AFC defense, Phillip Gilbride kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Brian Laidlaw. The Cockburnspath AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Brian Laidlaw should have stopped the shot. FC Paris Raccoons's Euan Gilespie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fergus Gorrie in the 25th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Fergus Gorrie had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Euan Gilespie. FC Paris Raccoons's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fergus Gorrie was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Euan Gilespie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fergus Gorrie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adrian Taylor kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Donald Stalker managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cockburnspath AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Donald Stalker was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Euan Gilespie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Donald Stalker stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Roddie McCorkle's late challenge caught a Cockburnspath AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roddie McCorkle helped the player get up and apologised. In the 51st minute, Roddie McCorkle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fergus Gorrie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Euan Gilespie having to interfere. Euan Gilespie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donald Stalker in the 55th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in FC Paris Raccoons's zone, Donald Stalker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Euan Gilespie came out of the goal and Donald Stalker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FC Paris Raccoons's Oliver McPhedron suffered a sore thigh after 62 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After a rather tough play, Cockburnspath AFC's Fergus Gorrie got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Phillip Gilbride might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Brian Laidlaw. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Phillip Gilbride ran back to his position shaking his head. Brian Laidlaw took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Phillip Gilbride, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nicky Lennie charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nicky Lennie the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 67th match minute, Cockburnspath AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicky Lennie to maneuver through the defense. Ciaran McMurchie's shot from long distance in the 73rd minute was not bad at all, but FC Paris Raccoons's Euan Gilespie knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. Fergus Gorrie blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Euan Gilespie having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fergus Gorrie in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Euan Gilespie prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 82nd minute, Fergus Gorrie made a precise shot to the right of Euan Gilespie. FC Paris Raccoons's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Adrian Taylor hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Donald Stalker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Euan Gilespie having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Cockburnspath AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
