Mark Masterson in the 24thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gordon Beaton, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Douglas McEachran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mark Masterson got free with Gordon Beaton in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Ballygrant City booed when Black & Green Kiwis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciaran Beadle didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35th minute, Mark Masterson made a precise shot to the right of Gordon Beaton. Black & Green Kiwis's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Douglas McEachran's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Les McConnechy read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. In the 90th minute, Mark Masterson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gordon Beaton was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Ballygrant City walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
