Spectators: 6783 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1783, VIP seats: 0) Joseph Crawford made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 3rd minute Joseph Crawford shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wayne Minn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Walter McGuire who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 4thth minute tested the skills of Wayne Minn when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Martin McMurrich in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stevie Wallis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Martin McMurrich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 10th match minute, Dalwhinnie AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Scott McDuffie to maneuver through the defense. Frankie Forester fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stevie Wallis having to interfere. Martin McMurrich scored 0-1 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Stevie Wallis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Martin McMurrich might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stevie Wallis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Martin McMurrich ran back to his position shaking his head. If Robin Lammond had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the match, Dalwhinnie AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Frankie Forester came free, but Stevie Wallis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute, Steven Frew hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 26 minutes, Martin McMurrich managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mauchline's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martin McMurrich was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Robin Lammond hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. In the 32nd match minute, Dalwhinnie AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marc Cessford to maneuver through the defense. Stevie Wallis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin McMurrich, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute, Frankie Forester made a precise shot to the right of Stevie Wallis. Dalwhinnie AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. In the 46th minute Martin McMurrich shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stevie Wallis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Martin McMurrich made a kick off. Frankie Forester's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stevie Wallis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Frankie Forester sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Frankie Forester came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Mauchline fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frankie Forester couldn't finish the play. Martin McMurrich sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frankie Forester got free with Stevie Wallis in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mauchline's Wayne Minn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walter McGuire in the 89th minute of play. Walter McGuire received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Wayne Minn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, Mauchline's goal looked a bit too open when Walter McGuire came free, but Wayne Minn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Martin McMurrich recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 95th match minute, Dalwhinnie AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Steven Frew to maneuver through the defense.
