If Martin McMurrich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Josh McGlasrich showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frankie Forester in the 8th minute of the match. Iain McKinnon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wayne Minn having to interfere. Josh McGlasrich made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frankie Forester in the 20th minute of play. Frankie Forester hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Iain McKinnon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Mauchline's Wayne Minn got control of the ball when Fraser McKim tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Mauchline getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Alistair McDonnell hit a great ball. A hard shot 34 in the game by Fraser McKim from a close distance when the talented Wayne Minn managed to make a qualified save. Mauchline's players were relieved. In the 36th minute of the match George Dow sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wayne Minn skillfully saved the ball. In the 37th match minute, Strathaven United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Owen McUre to maneuver through the defense. Frankie Forester fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josh McGlasrich having to interfere. A collision led to Strathaven United getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Darren McNeiledge hit a great ball. Iain McKinnon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Wayne Minn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Josh McGlasrich made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Frankie Forester sent off a good shot on target. Mauchline's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martin McMurrich was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 93rd minute, Martin McMurrich got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Strathaven United's Josh McGlasrich played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin McMurrich in the 94th minute of play. If Fraser McKim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Mauchline could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Strathaven United throughout the match.
