Spectators: 6793 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1793, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Rod Neilson took the kick off in the first half of the match. Irvin Hudson's late challenge caught a Harris's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Irvin Hudson helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Harris booed when Gullane was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Irvin Hudson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 7th minute, Rod Neilson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 8 minutes, Nicky Basnett managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gullane's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicky Basnett was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Harris getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Kevin King hit a great ball. Dominic McKinnell stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rod Neilson's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. After 17 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Harris! Irvin Hudson placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! In the 29th minute, Rod Neilson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dominic McKinnell was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rod Neilson in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dominic McKinnell prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Stuart McKelloch came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Harris fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stuart McKelloch couldn't finish the play. Gullane's Andy Graham proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Gullane from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 49th minute, Mike Russell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gullane's supporters rose to their feet, but Mike Russell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dominic McKinnell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The wind increased when Lloyd Ayson made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Stuart McKelloch managed to get in a good position for a shot. Harris's supporters rose to their feet, but Stuart McKelloch was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andy Graham breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rod Neilson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dominic McKinnell read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Gullane's Rod Neilson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dominic McKinnell narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 64 minutes into the match, Harris's goal looked a bit too open when Rod Neilson came free, but Dominic McKinnell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Harris's Ivan Alcorn got a free kick in the 64th minute. If Mike Russell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mike Russell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dominic McKinnell having to interfere. In the 74th minute, Rod Neilson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dominic McKinnell. The goal made the score 0-2. Andy Graham took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lloyd Ayson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Andy Graham made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lloyd Ayson in the 83rd minute of play. After having played for 90 minutes, Rod Neilson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gullane's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rod Neilson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 93 minutes into the game, Kevin King was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Harris's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gullane the free kick. 97 minutes in the game, Rod Neilson fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Dominic McKinnell having to interfere. Gullane's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
