After 13 played minutes Beauly AFC got a freekick which was hit by Brian Neil. Brian Neil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arthur Barry showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Grant Sinclair, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. The supporters of Dalbeattie City booed when Beauly AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. John McKnight didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd minute, Lee Carrick hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wally McNiven shot the penalty kick right outside the post. If Grant Sinclair had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Calum McCuish sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Calum McCuish got free with Ronald O'Shannaig in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Dalbeattie City's zone, Calum McCuish stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ronald O'Shannaig came out of the goal and Calum McCuish tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Calum McCuish had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 47th minute, Raymond McRa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ronald O'Shannaig had great luck who in the 48thth minute grab hold of the ball when Brian Neil from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Brian Neil made a kick off. Aaron McCay hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Beauly AFC's Arthur Barry proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Beauly AFC from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Beauly AFC's Arthur Barry got control of the ball when Liam McBeth tried to sneak it across the goal line. Calum McCuish fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronald O'Shannaig having to interfere. In the 65th minute, Calum McCuish got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 66th minute, Bradley Landers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Liam McBeth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arthur Barry having to interfere. Grant Sinclair kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Calum McCuish sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arthur Barry took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Grant Sinclair, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brian Neil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Ronald O'Shannaig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute, Calum McCuish ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ronald O'Shannaig was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. A collision led to Beauly AFC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Brandon McCansh hit a great ball. 96 minutes into the match, Liam McBeth notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Beauly AFC's Arthur Barry. Arthur Barry was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Dalbeattie City had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
