The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Liam McBeth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dominic McKinnell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Stuart McKelloch came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Harris fans jumped to their feet. Peter McEachin kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Dalbeattie City's zone, Lloyd Ayson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ronald O'Shannaig came out of the goal and Lloyd Ayson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Dalbeattie City getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Raymond McRa hit a great ball. Lloyd Ayson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronald O'Shannaig having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Grant Sinclair in the 78th minute of play forced Harris's goalkeeper Dominic McKinnell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Stuart McKelloch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th minute, Stuart McKelloch left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Harris fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Liam McBeth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dominic McKinnell having to interfere. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
