Spectators: 6806 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1806, VIP seats: 0) Rod Neilson made the kick off and thus started the match. Kenny McChlery hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Dominic McKinnell had great luck who in the 8thth minute grab hold of the ball when Rod Neilson from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. After 17 minutes of play, Gullane's Mike Russell made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dominic McKinnell was left in no man's land by his defense there! Stuart McKelloch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Andy Graham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Harris's Dominic McKinnell got control of the ball when Mike Russell tried to sneak it across the goal line. Andy Graham came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Harris's Stuart McKelloch. But to his dismay, Stuart McKelloch quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 40th minute, Irvin Hudson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Harris booed when Gullane was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcus Cumin didn't get a good kick on the ball. 1-2 became the score in the 48th minute when Stuart McKelloch elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Stuart McKelloch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 63 played minutes Gullane got a freekick which was hit by Nicky Basnett. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lloyd Ayson in the 64th minute of play forced Gullane's goalkeeper Andy Graham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mike Russell in the 69th minute of play forced Harris's goalkeeper Dominic McKinnell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 73 minutes into the match, Gullane's goal looked a bit too open when Lloyd Ayson came free, but Andy Graham reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 74 played minutes Gullane got a freekick which was hit by Matt McBurie. Dominic McKinnell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rod Neilson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 82nd minute, Rod Neilson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rod Neilson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Dominic McKinnell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 91 minutes into the match, Mike Russell notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of Harris's Dominic McKinnell. Dominic McKinnell was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 95 played minutes Harris got a freekick which was hit by Stuart McKelloch. Nicky Basnett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Dominic McKinnell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mike Russell in the 98th minute of play forced Harris's goalkeeper Dominic McKinnell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Harris's Kevin King got a free kick in the 98th minute. The Harris supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Harris would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
