Spectators: 7710 (Terracing: 5784, Seating: 1773, VIP seats: 153) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Gavin Lennie made the kick off which started today's match. 5 minutes into the match, FC Barcelona's goal looked a bit too open when Bradley Clayton came free, but Richard Denoon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 9th minute, Gavin Lennie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 15th minute Will McConacher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Denoon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Richard Denoon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bradley Clayton's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. FC Barcelona's Richard Denoon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bradley Clayton in the 24th minute of play. 28 minutes into the game, Innes McFie was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Barcelona's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Motherwell the free kick. In the 29thth minute of the game Will McConacher who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Barcelona's Richard Denoon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Richard Denoon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Will McConacher, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Barcelona's goalkeeper Richard Denoon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 37th minute, Bradley Clayton made a precise shot to the right of Richard Denoon. FC Barcelona's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Connor Mark charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Connor Mark the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, FC Barcelona's Connor Mark got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Will McConacher struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Richard Denoon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Motherwell. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Bradley Clayton made the kick off in the second half. Stuart Kenneth hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. If Bradley Clayton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 60th minute, Matt McRory hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 63rd minute of the match, Bradley Clayton tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Richard Denoon saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Timmy Barclay fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Motherwell's protests and gave Timmy Barclay a yellow card for diving instead. In the 65th minute, Timmy Barclay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, FC Barcelona's Matt McRory tried to score from far away in the 66th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in FC Barcelona's zone, Bradley Clayton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Richard Denoon came out of the goal and Bradley Clayton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mike Connor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Jonathan Bowie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Bowie came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Barcelona's Gavin Lennie. But to his dismay, Gavin Lennie quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Stephen McNair hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
