The audience thought a goal was coming when Hamish Bryce got free with Jonathan McSimon in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 26 played minutes Air Jordan AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ewan Crombie. Ewan McKnight received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Elliot Cooke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ewan McKnight fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elliot Cooke having to interfere. A collision led to Air Jordan AFC getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Tam Conacher hit a great ball. When Josh McGugan in the 42nd play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Jonathan McSimon kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. 48 minutes into the match, Tayport's Josh McGugan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan McSimon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Johnny McWhannell made the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Air Jordan AFC got a freekick which was hit by Nicky McMonies. Jonathan McSimon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hamish Bryce in the 53rd minute of play. Ewan McKnight blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Elliot Cooke having to make a save. In the 58th minute, Ewan Crombie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan McSimon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hamish Bryce in the 61st minute of play. When Hamish Bryce came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Tayport fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hamish Bryce couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Air Jordan AFC's zone, Josh McGugan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan McSimon came out of the goal and Josh McGugan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 68 minutes into the match, Air Jordan AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Hamish Bryce came free, but Jonathan McSimon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tayport's Elliot Cooke proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Tayport from getting a goal against them. Jonathan McSimon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hamish Bryce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dominic McCoull took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 83rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Elliot Cooke. Tayport's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Declan Gilmour fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tayport's protests and gave Declan Gilmour a yellow card for diving instead. In the 91st match minute, Tayport was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Declan Gilmour to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 92nd minute of the game. One of Tayport:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Air Jordan AFC:s goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
