The FC Barcelona players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Heriot United were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mike Connor stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Innes McFie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mike Connor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kenneth McCartney having to interfere. Nicholas Cluny could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Richard Denoon made a huge save. 69 minutes into the match, Nicholas Cluny notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of FC Barcelona's Richard Denoon. Richard Denoon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Heriot United getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. The FC Barcelona supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Heriot United's performance. The match ended with a win for Heriot United.
