Peebles United's Nathan Beattie got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nathan McDiarmid made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kieran Gibson in the 15th minute of play. In the 26th match minute, Peebles United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ken McQuarrie to maneuver through the defense. Chris Stalker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Nathan McDiarmid tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kieran Gibson in the 30th minute of play forced Peebles United's goalkeeper Nathan McDiarmid to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Kieran Gibson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rogart FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kieran Gibson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nathan McDiarmid breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Rogart FC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Terence King hit a great ball. If Jake McChlerich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nathan Beattie stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 57 minutes of play, Peebles United's Nathan Beattie made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Walter Bontine was left in no man's land by his defense there! Peebles United's Nathan McDiarmid proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Peebles United from getting a goal against them. With an all-out effort, Rogart FC's Nathan McDiarmid threw himself towards the right post 66 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Kieran Gibson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The audience was convinced that Kieran Gibson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nathan McDiarmid was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. In the 73rd minute, Nathan Beattie left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Peebles United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. If Jake McChlerich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 79 minutes, Nathan Beattie made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Rogart FC's Walter Bontine tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 92 minutes into the game, Jake McChlerich cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Walter Bontine was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Peebles United's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
