Spectators: 6803 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1803, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when David Lawrie kicked off to start the match. Chris Stalker blasted a shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lee Dempsie having to make a save. In the 7th minute, Chris Stalker ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lee Dempsie was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Kieran Gibson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lee Dempsie having to interfere. Chris Stalker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Simon Crozier fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lauder United's protests and gave Simon Crozier a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 14th minute of the game. One of Lauder United:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Rogart FC:s goal. In the 19th minute, Chris Stalker got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lee Dempsie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chris Stalker, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Lee Dempsie stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Chris Stalker's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Robbie McRaild received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Walter Bontine tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. David Lawrie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Andy Berry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Chris Stalker made the kick off in the second half. Walter Bontine showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robbie McRaild, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 56th minute, David Lawrie ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Walter Bontine was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Walter Bontine showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Lawrie in the 60th minute of the match. Lee Dempsie was out of position in the 65 minute of play, and Chris Stalker capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Chris Stalker really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. 69 minutes into the match, Rogart FC's Chris Stalker sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lee Dempsie narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Chris Stalker's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Lee Dempsie firmly grabbed it by the left post. When Stephen Allan fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lauder United's protests and gave Stephen Allan a yellow card for diving instead. After 94 played minutes Lauder United got a freekick which was hit by Stephen Allan. Graeme Bowie was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 95th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
