Robbie McRaild might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Harold Hughson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Robbie McRaild ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 7th minute Grant McAngus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lee Dempsie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lee Dempsie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ter Beadle in the 9th minute of the match. After 11 minutes, Owen McHardy mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Falkirk and the Lauder United players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Falkirk's Owen McHardy got a free kick in the 11th minute. Harold Hughson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robbie McRaild in the 13th minute of play. In the 40th match minute, Falkirk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Owen McHardy to maneuver through the defense. 47 minutes into the match, Falkirk's goal looked a bit too open when James Hallyard came free, but Harold Hughson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joseph McDiarmid charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joseph McDiarmid the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Falkirk getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Joseph McDiarmid hit a great ball. Harold Hughson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from James Hallyard in the 49th minute of the match. The wind increased when Ter Beadle made the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes Lauder United's James Hallyard stole the ball from his opponents and shot the ball towards the upper left corner, but Harold Hughson stretched himself as far as he could, and stopped the ball from passing the line. robbing Falkirk of the goal. Falkirk's supporters rose to their feet, but Grant McAngus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lee Dempsie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 82nd minute Grant McAngus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lee Dempsie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Falkirk's Harold Hughson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Falkirk from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Lauder United booed when Falkirk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Owen McHardy didn't get a good kick on the ball. James Hallyard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harold Hughson having to interfere. A collision led to Falkirk getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Owen McHardy hit a great ball. Lauder United's Stewart Brodie couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 95th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Falkirk. In the 97th play minute James Hallyard came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Harold Hughson. 0-1.
