A collision led to Biggar City getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Evan Lamb hit a great ball. Gus McQuistan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christopher McLennan having to interfere. When Kilbirnie's Bob McOwl in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Biggar City's goalie prevented a goal. Taylor Spittal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Drew Tonnochy having to interfere. In the 23rd match minute, Kilbirnie was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kevin McQuisten to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th minute Bob McOwl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christopher McLennan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christopher McLennan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bob McOwl in the 27th minute of the match. Graeme Crossley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christopher McLennan having to interfere. After 34 played minutes Kilbirnie got a freekick which was hit by Kevin McQuisten. If Taylor Spittal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Drew Tonnochy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Taylor Spittal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Taylor Spittal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Drew Tonnochy having to make a save. 41 minutes into the match, Biggar City's Robbie McMillan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Drew Tonnochy narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Drew Tonnochy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Taylor Spittal, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. In the 44th minute Bob McOwl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christopher McLennan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Robbie McMillan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Drew Tonnochy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bob McOwl stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Gus McQuistan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kilbirnie's supporters rose to their feet, but Gus McQuistan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christopher McLennan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bob McOwl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Kilbirnie booed when Biggar City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evan Lamb didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 70 minutes, Bob McOwl managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kilbirnie's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bob McOwl was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Kilbirnie's zone, Robbie McMillan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Drew Tonnochy came out of the goal and Robbie McMillan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Taylor Spittal came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Biggar City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Taylor Spittal couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Biggar City's zone, Bob McOwl stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christopher McLennan came out of the goal and Bob McOwl tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Biggar City's Jonathan Gillies got a free kick in the 79th minute. Kilbirnie's Drew Tonnochy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Taylor Spittal in the 84th minute of play. Drew Tonnochy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Taylor Spittal in the 87th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bob McOwl in the 94th minute of play forced Biggar City's goalkeeper Christopher McLennan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Biggar City's Evan Lamb got a free kick in the 95th minute. Gus McQuistan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christopher McLennan having to interfere. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
