Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Phillip McAuslan kicked off to start the match. If Timothy McBeolain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Josh McIlwhom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Phillip McAuslan, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. After having played for 8 minutes, Tyler McHarold managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alloway's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tyler McHarold was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Alloway's Phillip McAuslan in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Dalwhinnie FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 14th minute, Thomas Hardie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Quentin Goddard fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alloway's protests and gave Quentin Goddard a yellow card for diving instead. Quentin Goddard hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 18th minute Timothy McBeolain shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremy Coulson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Timothy McBeolain recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alloway's Jeremy Coulson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kenny McAuselan in the 22nd minute of play. Steven Duncanson hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Kenny McAuselan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th match minute, Dalwhinnie FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thomas Hardie to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Dalwhinnie FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Sam Hamilton hit a great ball. Josh McIlwhom came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Alloway's Tyler McHarold. But to his dismay, Tyler McHarold quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Kenny McAuselan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Jeremy Coulson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Dalwhinnie FC's zone, Phillip McAuslan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Josh McIlwhom came out of the goal and Phillip McAuslan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tyler McHarold sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kenny McAuselan was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Kenny McAuselan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dalwhinnie FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kenny McAuselan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jeremy Coulson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 55th minute, Sean Yuill hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dalwhinnie FC's Josh McIlwhom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Phillip McAuslan in the 57th minute of play. When Alloway's Phillip McAuslan in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Dalwhinnie FC's goalie prevented a goal. Tyler McHarold fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josh McIlwhom having to interfere. Jeremy Coulson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kenny McAuselan in the 69th minute of play. After 73 minutes, David Crawley mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dalwhinnie FC and the Alloway players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 75th minute there was a penalty for Alloway. Brian McSween stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Josh McIlwhom. 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Phillip McAuslan in the 77th minute of play forced Dalwhinnie FC's goalkeeper Josh McIlwhom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Phillip McAuslan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeremy Coulson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Timothy McBeolain in the 85th minute. Dalwhinnie FC's Timothy McBeolain got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Stevie McEarachar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Josh McIlwhom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Phillip McAuslan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dalwhinnie FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
