Spectators: 7736 (Terracing: 5803, Seating: 1779, VIP seats: 154) Strathaven's Kevin Esson started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Ter Harper had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Darius Coutts got free with Steven McMurray in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Quentin Cessford took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 7th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tommy Sporran. CRAZY LABS United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 9 played minutes Strathaven got a freekick which was hit by Cameron Tarrill. Alisdair Carrigan scored 0-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tommy Sporran, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Strathaven booed when CRAZY LABS United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kyle McGorry didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th minute, Kevin Esson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tommy Sporran was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Kevin Esson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Strathaven's supporters rose to their feet, but Kevin Esson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Sporran breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 39 minutes into the match, Strathaven's Alisdair Carrigan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tommy Sporran narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Alisdair Carrigan came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Strathaven fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alisdair Carrigan couldn't finish the play. Steven McMurray showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Owen McIlduy in the 45th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Mike Sutherland charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mike Sutherland the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 57thth minute of the game Kevin Esson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CRAZY LABS United's Tommy Sporran was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kevin Esson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tommy Sporran came out and tried to block the shot, but Kevin Esson slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 61st minute. After having played for 74 minutes, Alisdair Carrigan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Strathaven's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alisdair Carrigan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Steven McMurray showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Owen McIlduy, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Tommy Sporran stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kevin Esson's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. Kevin Esson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Tommy Sporran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Strathaven's Cameron Tarrill got a free kick in the 87th minute. 90 minutes into the match, Alisdair Carrigan notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of CRAZY LABS United's Tommy Sporran. Tommy Sporran was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match was over Strathaven could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than CRAZY LABS United throughout the match.
