With a left leg Gavin Boyle saved Heart of Midlothian from getting behind. The supporters of Achnasheen booed when Heart of Midlothian was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timmy Guthrie didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Eric Currie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Eric Currie came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Achnasheen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eric Currie couldn't finish the play. Achnasheen's Rory McChlery proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Achnasheen from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Heart of Midlothian's zone, Ronald McCaig stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gavin Boyle came out of the goal and Ronald McCaig tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joe Lecky received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Rory McChlery tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 91 minutes into the match, Achnasheen's goal looked a bit too open when Troy Fife came free, but Rory McChlery reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Achnasheen's Eric Currie in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
