Spectators: 6794 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1794, VIP seats: 0) Billy Bryde made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 3rdth minute of the game Billy Bryde who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Currie United's Greg Kennedy was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Shaun Roy charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Shaun Roy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 10th minute of the game. One of Alloway:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Currie United:s goal. Alloway:s Danny McIlwhom showed great skill when he stopped Graham McAndrew:s penalty. Danny McIlwhom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mark Boyd in the 14th minute of the match. Greg Kennedy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dean McLennan in the 16th minute of play. Mark Boyd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danny McIlwhom having to interfere. Danny McIlwhom made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Fergus Cargill sent off a good shot on target. Billy Bryde's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Greg Kennedy read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Ronnie McOwl kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Graham McAndrew's shot from long distance in the 39th minute was not bad at all, but Alloway's Danny McIlwhom knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mark Boyd stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Charles McPhun hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Dean McLennan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Greg Kennedy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Billy Bryde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Currie United getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Thomas Airth hit a great ball. Currie United's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Billy Bryde 81 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-2. Fergus Cargill recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alloway's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
