After a rather tough play, Aviemore City's Iain Conochie got a free kick in the 10th minute. Newbridge's Brandon McAulay got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A hard shot by Jacob Reilly from long distance, 18 minutes into the match, got Neil Ferguson's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The supporters of Newbridge booed when Aviemore City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kyle Donaldson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 30 minutes, Neil Ferguson successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Bradley McCaishe kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Nicky Neish, 41 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Brandon McAulay to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Newbridge booed when Aviemore City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bradley McCaishe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gareth Harold's late challenge caught a Newbridge's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gareth Harold helped the player get up and apologised. Gareth Harold hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. After 59 minutes of play Aviemore City's Gareth Harold was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The audience was convinced that Brandon McAulay's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Craig McLarty was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Craig McLarty stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Brandon McAulay's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. If Brandon McAulay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Joshua Gilbride received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Craig McLarty tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Quentin Colyear during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 78th minute, Quentin Colyear hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aviemore City's Craig McLarty played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brandon McAulay in the 79th minute of play. Brandon McAulay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Craig McLarty having to interfere. Neil Ferguson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oliver Hossack, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. With 87 minutes on the clock, Nicky Neish commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 86th minute of the game. One of Newbridge:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Aviemore City:s goal. Oliver Hossack fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Neil Ferguson having to interfere. Jimmy Burnett recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Neil Ferguson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Quentin Colyear in the 100th minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Newbridge walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
