Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Wal McCamie kicked off to start the match. Donald Cooke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Jake Blake tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roy Lombard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 7 minutes into the game, Westhill's Wal McCamie nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Steve McBheath made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Malcolm Hallyard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jake Blake having to interfere. The attack was good, but when Wal McCamie in the 14th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. The audience was convinced that Roy Lombard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Steve McBheath was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Roy Lombard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Steve McBheath tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wal McCamie struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Steve McBheath didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Westhill. Brian McKeggie's late challenge caught a Westhill's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Brian McKeggie helped the player get up and apologised. Brian McKeggie hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. 26 minutes into the match, Westhill's goalkeeper Jake Blake had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Donald Cooke. Jake Blake made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Malcolm Hallyard in the 28th minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Doune City's goal looked a bit too open when Wal McCamie came free, but Steve McBheath reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Steve McBheath came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Westhill's Wal McCamie. But to his dismay, Wal McCamie quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Wal McCamie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Steve McBheath tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wal McCamie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steve McBheath having to interfere. In the 45th match minute, Doune City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronan McShannachan to maneuver through the defense. Roy Lombard's late challenge caught a Doune City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roy Lombard helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Westhill getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Roy Lombard hit a great ball.

Steve McBheath didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roy Lombard went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Brian McKeggie's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jake Blake read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Steve McBheath made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wal McCamie in the 59th minute of play. Roy Lombard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Roy Lombard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Steve McBheath made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Roy Lombard sent off a good shot on target. Jake Blake showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Malcolm Hallyard, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Gus McNee might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Steve McBheath. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gus McNee ran back to his position shaking his head. Jake Blake took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donald Cooke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 76 minutes into the game, Gary Wilkinson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Doune City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Westhill the free kick. Gary Wilkinson hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Roy Lombard came free with the goalkeeper in the 78th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Steve McBheath could save by the left post. Donald Cooke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Jake Blake tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brian McKeggie was shown his second yellow card after 94 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The Doune City fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Westhill were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
