Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gus Hardie got the match started through his kick off. When Ballygrant FC's Samuel Howison in the 5th minute got a chance for a shot 5th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bishopton's goalie prevented a goal. In the 13th minute, Luke Findlater hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Bishopton's zone, Martin McSporran stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rod Kean came out of the goal and Martin McSporran tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Martin McSporran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bishopton's Rod Kean played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matthew Ellis in the 24th minute of play. After 26 played minutes Ballygrant FC got a freekick which was hit by Darren McLure. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicol McDaid got free with Jake Aldridge in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Martin McSporran took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rod Kean. Rod Kean dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After a rather tough play, Bishopton's Taylor McGrowther got a free kick in the 44th minute. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Martin McSporran made a kick off. Samuel Howison took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rod Kean. Rod Kean dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. If Samuel Howison had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 71 minutes, Samuel Howison managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ballygrant FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Samuel Howison was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gus Hardie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 85th minute of the game. One of Ballygrant FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Bishopton:s goal. If Gus Hardie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 95 minutes, Taylor McGrowther mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bishopton and the Ballygrant FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rod Kean acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 96th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Darren McLure. The audience thought a goal was coming when Samuel Howison got free with Rod Kean in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Bishopton supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Ballygrant FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Ballygrant FC.
