With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gary McCrae in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Robert McDonachie saved Cöblez United from getting behind. 62 minutes into the match, Canonbie's Wal Dyce sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Robert McDonachie narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 67th minute, Wal Dyce ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Robert McDonachie was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Gary McCrae fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robert McDonachie having to interfere.
