Spectators: 6776 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1776, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Martin McSporran got the match started through his kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 2nd minute, Keith McNuir managed to get in a good position for a shot. Beith United's supporters rose to their feet, but Keith McNuir was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jake Aldridge breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Ballygrant FC defense, Keith McNuir kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jake Aldridge. The Ballygrant FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jake Aldridge should have stopped the shot. Lucas McConnach sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Samuel Howison fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Max Beath having to interfere. Jake Aldridge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Keith McNuir, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Samuel Howison got free with Max Beath in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Keith McNuir might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jake Aldridge. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Keith McNuir ran back to his position shaking his head. When Raymond McCloy fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ballygrant FC's protests and gave Raymond McCloy a yellow card for diving instead. The Ballygrant FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Beith United were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lucas McConnach made a kick off. When Matthew Ellis came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Ballygrant FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matthew Ellis couldn't finish the play. 53 minutes into the game, Jordan McCrimmor was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Beith United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ballygrant FC the free kick. The supporters of Ballygrant FC booed when Beith United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jordan McCrimmor didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin McSporran in the 54th minute of play forced Beith United's goalkeeper Max Beath to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Beith United's Max Beath played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuel Howison in the 55th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ballygrant FC's Stevie Andrews got a free kick in the 58th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas McConnach in the 59th minute of play forced Ballygrant FC's goalkeeper Jake Aldridge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucas McConnach received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Jake Aldridge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 63 played minutes Ballygrant FC got a freekick which was hit by Raymond Meine. Martin McSporran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Max Beath having to interfere. Samuel Howison received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Max Beath tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After recieving a nice pass, Ballygrant FC's Darren McLure tried to score from far away in the 74th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Martin McSporran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Martin McSporran came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Ballygrant FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martin McSporran couldn't finish the play. Max Beath made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stevie Andrews in the 87th minute of play. Samuel Howison received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Max Beath tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Samuel Howison sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Keith McNuir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jake Aldridge having to interfere. The Beith United supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Beith United would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
