Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Rick Clayton made the kick off which started today's match. After 4 played minutes Rick Clayton rounded Ballygrant FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Rick Clayton struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Jake Aldridge didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cöblez United. Wally Sorely charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wally Sorely the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Cöblez United booed when Ballygrant FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wally Sorely didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Cöblez United's Lucas McKendrick got a free kick in the 14th minute. In the 15th minute of the match Darren McLure shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Robert McDonachie showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Robert McDonachie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin McSporran, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Martin McSporran in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Robert McDonachie saved Cöblez United from getting behind. In the 19th minute, Martin McSporran got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Samuel Howison fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robert McDonachie having to interfere. Robert McDonachie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuel Howison, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 29th minute, Martin McSporran got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 30 minutes into the game, Simon Monzie was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cöblez United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ballygrant FC the free kick. A collision led to Cöblez United getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Simon Monzie hit a great ball. After 38 minutes, Lucas McKendrick mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cöblez United and the Ballygrant FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 38th match minute, Cöblez United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucas McKendrick to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Ballygrant FC's Darren McLure tried to score from far away in the 39th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Martin McSporran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Martin McSporran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Robert McDonachie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuel Howison in the 46th minute of play forced Cöblez United's goalkeeper Robert McDonachie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Tom Duncanson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Martin McSporran to strike the kick off in the second half. Darren McLure took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 53rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Robert McDonachie. Cöblez United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Cöblez United's zone, Samuel Howison stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Robert McDonachie came out of the goal and Samuel Howison tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Martin McSporran came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Ballygrant FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martin McSporran couldn't finish the play. 74 minutes into the match, Cöblez United's goal looked a bit too open when Martin McSporran came free, but Robert McDonachie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 76 minutes into the game, Tom Duncanson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Jake Aldridge was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tam McDonleavy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Jake Aldridge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 82 minutes into the game, Tom Duncanson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Jake Aldridge was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cöblez United were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Ballygrant FC for a fine match.
